Hamilton’s Mary Lou Dingle wins Lincoln Alexander Award
The Law Society recognized Hamilton’s Mary Lou Dingle, Q.C., with its Lincoln Alexander Award at the 2016 Law Society Awards this month.
Called to the Bar in 1964, Dingle is recognized for her lifetime of service to the Hamilton community through her outstanding community involvement and volunteerism.
She is a trailblazer, mentor and role model to countless lawyers in Hamilton and beyond.
As a solicitor, she has a high level of expertise and knowledge of estates and trusts.
The Lincoln Alexander Award was established in 2002 and is awarded annually in recognition of an Ontario lawyer who has demonstrated long-standing interest and commitment to the public and to the pursuit of community service on behalf of residents of Ontario. The award was created in honour of Ontario’s 24th Lieutenant Governor The Honourable Lincoln M. Alexander, a former lawyer and long-time resident of Hamilton, to reward his dedication to the people of Ontario and the legal community.
The Law Society honoured 14 members of the legal professions at the May 25th event in Toronto.
